Meet Lawrence C. Swayne, MD

Nuclear Medicine Specialist in Parsippany

Dr. Lawrence C. Swayne is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Morristown Medical Center and has been a member since 1983.

Dr. Swayne received his BS from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. He went to Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, NJ where he received his MD. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He has “Additional Qualifications” in Nuclear Medicine from the American Board of Radiology and is an American Board of Radiology Examiner and a Past President of the Radiological Society of New Jersey. 

Dr. Swayne was an Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons until 1998. Along with serving as the Chief of the Nuclear Medicine section of the department, he is an accomplished researcher and author with over 100 publications, and he is on numerous institutional committees. He has presented and published on a large variety of subjects, including oncology, nuclear medicine, pediatrics, and most recently managed care. 

Dr. Swayne is also a Past president of the radiological Society of New Jersey and a Gold Medal Award recipient for outstanding lifetime achievement and service to the RSNJ.

Dr. Swayne has been voted “TOP DOC” 1998, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016.
